Nutrition Entrepreneurs DPG: Reaching out to our Students

Dear Dietetics Educator,
As your students prepare to advance to the next step in their dietetics careers, the Nutrition Entrepreneurs (NE) DPG would like to offer them a glimpse into our practice group. NE’s mission is to help members achieve their professional and financial potential by providing the
tools to build and maintain a successful nutrition-related business.
Take a look inside NE. Member benefits include:
- An informative website
- Specialty Groups (Coaches, Internet & Technology, Speakers, Corporate Health, Authors, and Private Practice) with active electronic listservs
- Quarterly educational teleconferences
- Networking events at ADA’s Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo.
Our members are shaping the future of dietetics by pursuing innovative ways of providing nutrition products and services to their customers. Some of our members are nationally recognized authors, speakers, chefs, or educators. Others are consultants to health care, business or industry, writers for magazines and websites, and counselors to patients. Our membership is as diverse as the field of dietetics. Many of our members work in more traditional settings but are considering a change in their career path. These dietitians, like many of your students, seek inspiration and motivation to make their dream a reality. NE membership provides the tools they need to start or grow a business for only $30.00 for the 2007/2008 year (June 1, 2007-May 31, 2008).
We invite you and your students to visit our Web site at www.nedpg.org to learn more about NE. On the Members Only page of the Web site, use 50001 for the ADA number and “Student” for the last name. This will provide temporary access (until May 31, 2007) to the “Members Only” section of our website.
Dietetic students can benefit from learning more about becoming a nutrition entrepreneur and how NE can help them do so.
